TEAM

Meet your financial specialists.

Kathy Klein, CFP®

Wealth Advisor

As a Certified Financial Planner and a Wealth Advisor of 36 years, I work with two primary groups of people.  One group is business owners and individuals to gain clarity, control, and confidence over all aspects of their finances. My clients appreciate the integrated approach that encompasses all aspects of their financial life, including:

  • Goal Setting
  • Developing a money mindset
  • Financial & Tax planning
  • Charitable Giving & Philanthropy
  • Wealth Transfer Protection
  • Investment Planning & Risk Management
  • Alternative Investments

Another group, and my special focus, is on educating and empowering women who through divorce or the death of a spouse find themselves suddenly responsible for their own financial well-being. I am dedicated to helping these women navigate their new financial responsibilities with confidence and security.

I enjoy serving as a key member of my clients’ team, often collaborating with family members, accountants, and attorneys to ensure a comprehensive strategy.

When not focused on all things finance, I can be found out of breath golfing, hiking, exercising, or chasing my husband of 40 years, my 3 children, and my 7 grandchildren – not necessarily in that order.

I was honored to be their personal representative and executor, and had the time and experience to be sure their finances were well prepared for such a transition. Despite this preplanning, the process was still painful and cumbersome.

How To Promote Financial Values Across Generations
Every family we work with is unique. However, over the years, I have found one common denominator: all have built wealth through sacrifice, hard work, and a strong set of financial values that includes monitoring spending and prioritizing saving. These values, coupled with a thoughtful investment strategy, have allowed many families to accumulate more wealth than they could ever spend in their lifetimes. As a result, a significant portion of this family wealth will be passed down to the next generation at some point in time, and many family leaders feel anxious about this wealth transfer: How will this wealth transfer impact family dynamics? Are the kids ready to assume the financial responsibility? Will they manage financial opportunities appropriately? Will the values that built this wealth live on?
