SWP Volunteers at Feed My Starving Children

Team members of Strategic Wealth Partners, along with family and friends, once again rolled up their sleeves and put on hairnets to pack meals for hungry children at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Libertyville, IL. FMSC provides a fun and fulfilling way for people to serve those in need around the world. Volunteers form an assembly line to fill bags with food and pack into boxes. Each bag contains rice, soy, vegetables, and vitamins. This combination creates a nutritious meal that meets the needs of starving children and has the ability to change lives. Collectively, volunteers during this session packed 87 boxes of food that were sent all over the world.

In addition to the Libertyville location, FMSC has packing sites in Aurora and Schaumburg. All three sites offer multiple packing sessions each week. You can sign up to volunteer at any of the FMSC locations here.

Think back to March 23, 2020…everyone was locked down in their homes, and the impact of COVID had only just begun. Yet despite the fact that people were still wearing masks and maintaining other COVID-related precautions a year + later, that day in March 2020 turned out to be a generational buying opportunity for stocks.

A Primer on Private Equity
On the surface, it’s logical that owning a diversified basket of public stocks (individual companies and/or indexes) is reflective of the broader economy, but the data doesn’t support it. In 1996, roughly 8,000 companies were listed in the U.S. stock market. Today, that number is fewer than 4,000.
