Strategic Wealth Partners Hosts 4th Annual Women, Wealth & Wisdom: Your Prosperity Picture

More than 70 women gathered for our 4th Annual Women, Wealth & Wisdom luncheon at Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park in November. It was an honor to have Lisa Kueng from Invesco present ‘Your Prosperity Picture,’ an activity that she and Ellen Rogin developed based on their book, Picture Your Prosperity.

“Our goal has been to present new ideas to help you become centered and confident with the direction of your lives – financial and otherwise,” SWP Principal Ashley Bebeau, CFP®, explained. This past year, the ‘Your Prosperity Picture’ exercise allowed the attendees the opportunity to visualize the direction of their lives in a very tangible way.

The activity began with the attendees creating their vision by viewing a series of pictures and placing them on a board divided into four quadrants: more money, less money, sooner in life, and later in life. This exercise allowed the group to visualize their dreams and the direction of their personal and financial lives. With the vision defined, Kueng guided the guests through steps to help bring each picture into reality.

We are thankful to everyone who attended the event. We hope that it was an informative and insightful beginning to ‘Your Prosperity Picture.’

Whether you are someone who looks at your portfolio every day, checks periodically, or hardly ever looks at all, it would not be unusual to have some sort of impulse to take action with your portfolio. The most drastic would be to “go to cash,” presumably re-entering the market “when things get better.” The issue is always that it will never feel like a good time to get back in. Think back to March 23, 2020…everyone was locked down in their homes, and the impact of COVID had only just begun. Yet despite the fact that people were still wearing masks and maintaining other COVID-related precautions a year + later, that day in March 2020 turned out to be a generational buying opportunity for stocks.
