Forest Preserves of Cook County – August 2017

Members of Strategic Wealth Partners spent their Saturday removing buckthorn from the Skokie Lagoons area in Winnetka.

Invasive species, like buckthorn, can spread profusely ultimately dominating and wiping out native species. The Forest Preserves of Cook County continually work on removing buckthorn to allow native species to thrive and animals to pass through areas that were previously too dense.
